Overview

Hello I'm Susan, and I have had yoga in my life for over 18 years. I am a mother of two, and a lover of sunshine, good food, strong coffee and red wine. With Yoga For Modern Life I hope to show you that yoga is for everyone, and can help you feel so much better in body and mind. As well as teaching Yoga For All, Yoga For Beginners and Yin Yoga, I specialise in yoga for Fertility, Pregnancy and in the Post Natal period. My love is in helping people reconnect with themselves in this crazy busy world.

I teach weekly classes, monthly workshops and yoga courses at a number of yoga studios in and around York and Harrogate including York Yoga Studio, Peacock Tree Yoga, Stables Yoga Centre and Alissa Lawrence Yoga Studio. I also have my own small home studio where I teach private one-to-one yoga lessons to individuals.

 My yoga training and professional registration is with the Yoga Alliance (200 hour level), and I have also undertaken additional training with world renown teachers such as Nadia Narain at Triyoga, Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, Judith Hanson Lasater, Norman Blair and Michel Odent & Liliana Lammers. I have further been inspired by the teachings of Erich Schiffmann and Donna Farhi.  I am also a qualified Doula.

    Pregnancy Yoga classes + Yoga For All classes

    I've been to both the Yoga For All and Pregnancy Yoga classes with Susan and found them to be really lovely. Super friendly and a nice relaxed vibe. I felt so chilled and confident through my pregnancy, and by lower back niggles were really helped by the yoga. I also found the yoga breathing exercises we practiced really brilliant in my labour, to help me stay focused. Thanks so much.

    I really found Susans pregnancy yoga classes so lovely to attend. I was a bit nervous at first, as I had not done any yoga before, but need not have been worried as everyone was so lovely and friendly. The yoga we did was great, easy to get into and it really helped my back and my sciatica. Loved the relaxation at the end too. I met some lovely other ladies too, so thank you so much Susan for these classes.
