Have you (or your students) made a New Year’s resolution to take better care of your body? Do you want to get more sleep, or lose a few kilos? Maybe you want to make healthier choices about food, or drink less wine? In short, do you want to decrease your level of stress and those of the students you teach?
Then this 2-day workshop centered around restorative teachings and practices taught by two rest experts is the answer. Adelene Cheong and Lizzie Lasater (daughter of Judith Lasater) warmly invite you to this restorative yoga immersion to help you learn ways to manage and decrease stress, as well as practice self care. By consciously de-activating our sympathetic (fight or flight) nervous systems, and actively supporting our parasympathetic (rest and repair) nervous systems we are able to make better choices.
The weekend will include the following teachings and practices:
Short active practice each day
Detailed breakdown of key Restorative poses
Experiential learning
Time for journaling and reflection
Guided pranayama practice
Mindfulness meditation
Yoga Nidra
Day 1 - Empathetic practices and support for self Day 2 - Empathetic practices and compassion for others
Open to all, and suitable for yoga teachers interested in adding Restorative yoga elements to their classes.
