About this Workshop Personal, sacred breath rituals for everyday & exploring the anatomy of the breath in movement.
We will explore developing your own embodied breathing practices. Learning to 'come back to the breath' in the form of personalised daily rituals.
We'll learn about the musculature of the breathing apparatus, the key lung structures, and how to keep lung tissues healthy and happy. We will explore the anatomy of the breath with movement, learning how to 'functionally' breath during mindful movement and Yoga flows.
EXPECT:
An overview of the Anatomy & science of breathing & lung health
A gentle 30min breath-centric Yoga flow with integrated breathwork
Breath ritual practice with Bramahri, breath of fire & Kumbhaka Pranayama
You will need a pen & notebook, a Yoga mat or space, a couple of pillows/large cushions and some (optional) mint leaves.
This workshop is brought to you by Laura Pearce. Laura is a Senior Yoga Teacher, breathwork and mindfulness practitioner. She has 10 years experience running corporate wellness company YFL, developing wellness classes and programs for high stress, high profile corporate clients. She teaches accessible, non-dogmatic but soulful classes with her muse; Rusty the spaniel in tow.
