Managing Pain Effectively when Teaching Therapeutic Yoga

Managing a clients pain can often be challenging when teaching Yoga, and knowing the best techniques to apply is difficult without knowledge of what the specific issue may be. This workshop will cover anatomical knowledge of different types of pain that Therapeutic Yoga can help with; from back, hip, knee, shoulder and neck, and how to offer supportive and effective techniques, including hands-on assists, that will free your clients from further discomfort and pain.

Also learn more about how to manage pain effectively in your group & 1-1 classes and apply new techniques to help your students feel free from pain!

Develop your hands-on assist training as well as how to apply kineso taping to reduce pain & improve the healing process. As a Yoga Therapist learn more about "Redundant Breathing" - a breath-centred technique that can be initiated anywhere; in a group or 1-1 setting, and be applied to any age group, culture or tradition.

All three workshops are suitable for Yoga Teachers and Qualified Instructors of all disciplines, and a certificate will be given upon completion of the three Workshops.

CPD accredited hours will be issued upon completion by Yoga Alliance Professionals, for those teachers looking to build on their hours in 2018.

NB. The third of a series of three workshops this Spring 2018, with Ambika Yoga. (Rescheduled from Sunday 20th May 2018).
