If there is one type of yoga pose which polarizes opinion it is arm balances. You either love them, hate them or fear them – may be all three! Often this is due to there never being enough time in a class to take it slow, prepare the body, break the poses down and just well PLAY. In this workshop we shall look at 1. The muscles we need to work and exercises to strengthen and release them 2. The role of the bandhas (energy locks in the body – in particular mulabandha and uddiyana bandha) 3. The role of self confidence and the fear of falling 4. Various arm balances and their modifications working steadily building on techniques and practices. Please note this workshop is not designed for beginners and at least 6 months yoga practice is recommended. If you are unsure as to whether this is for you please contact me before booking .
