The asana section is divided into let sections to enable practitioners the time to play with lower back and shoulder stability to improve the feelings within backbends.
Expect a gradual progression towards working with backbends as we spend luxurious amounts of time playing with the feeling of lumbar spine stability. From lumbar stability we are able to work with shoulder and hip stability during back bends.
The stability created on either side of the spine enable practitioners to feel into which segments of the spine are compensating.
You will learn some hands on assists for some back bends during this session.
- afternoon Hands on assists through the medium of bodywork which includes assessment skills, palpation and bodywork. These arenas have been added together to help practitioners gain a deeper understanding of what they are doing and why.
You will also learn hands on assists for therapeutic back bends in the afternoon. How to help someone get out of pain and into the pleasure of their practise
This afternoon session is suitable for anyone with back pain and you are ok with working in small groups. This will enable deeper understanding of how to perform this work on others as well as yourself
Mastery of Hips & Inversions
We will spend a significant amount of time working out how to feel into the deeper layers of intrinsic core stability and experiment with how re-wiring the restrictions of moving the force from our core into the outside world. If you feel strong on the inside but still unsure why this strength is not transferring outwards, then this mornings practice is for you!
Learn how to define your hips true capabilities and understand how to improve the ranges of motion that your hips personally need.
Expect shoulder correctives based on your personal needs to develop the foundations in shoulders so that they feel like another set of core!
