Workshop ~ Mindful movement, Yin and Restorative Yoga followed by a dreamy Gong sound bath.
These sessions are a wonderful opportunity to let go, Emma will be guiding you through some gentle stretches getting the body moving with mindful movement followed by some restorative postures to get you ready to end with the gong so you can go further inwards and to uplift your body’s vibration.
Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual practices or disciplines which originated in ancient India.
Researchers have found that yoga outperformed aerobicexercise at improving balance, flexibility, strength, pain levels among seniors, menopausal symptoms, daily energy level, and social and occupation functioning, among other health parameters. Yoga does more than calm you down and make you flexible
Yoga increases mobility so that you can bring more ease to your movement and don't feel so stuck in your body. Physical activity increases the motility and mobility of the organs and muscles, allowing them to perform their natural detoxification process. Deep yogic breathing enhances the function of the lungs.
The gong is an ancient instrument for meditation, healing and transformation. If you find sitting meditation is challenging you may enjoy this type of immersive practise where simply following the sound entrains the brain waves into deeper states of relaxation, processing and insight.
We end the workshop with some food, drink and a chance to chat.
