The perimenopause is the start of transition towards menopause, the end of the monthly menstrual cycle but also the end of the reproductive phase in a woman's life. It is a natural progression and this workshop will look into how yoga and small lifestyle changes can support our physical, emotional and mental wellbeing during these often challenging years.

As we age our levels of the female hormones decrease and many can experience various unpleasant symptoms such as fatigue, low mood, hot flushes, joint pain, dryness or anxiety. We will look into how your lifestyle can help relieve symptoms of the menopause from ayurvedic perspective by balancing 5 elements. There will be a few short restorative sequences using props and bolsters for hormonal balance as well as adrenal exhaustion and fatigue. We will also go through some traditional yogic exercises, which can help strengthen and increase the blood flow to the pelvic floor. Some lifestyle and anti aging tips will be given for general health and wellbeing including nutrition and suggestion on what asanas (yoga poses) are beneficial for specific symptoms you may be suffering from .

Whether you still have your monthly cycle or not learning how to support your physical, emotional and mental body through different phases will help you get in touch with and balance your female/lunar energy.

This nourishing workshop is open to all women at any stage of her life. Please bring a journal and a pen.
