At the Autumn Equinox (September 23rd) there is a shift of emphasis from outward achievement (Yang qualities) to inner reflection (Yin qualities) and contemplation.
Summer's End is an invitation for us to embrace that change of season and within ourselves. The workshop has been designed to hold us in a loving embrace, as we take some time out of our busy lives to breathe, relax, nurture, ground and balance ourselves with the vital practices of Restorative Yoga.
Inviting in some much needed space and time for renewal, ensuring our energies can be restored and refocused for the rest of the year ahead.
In this workshop we will begin with a meditation practice designed to bring us into our body and invite softness into the spine. We will then move into some restorative forward bend options to take us out of our head and into our body ready to begin our practice.
We will move into a floor-based slow flowing restorative sequence with lots of props that will gently move us around the body to open, relax and expand from the inside out. Balancing our breathing throughout with natural organic Nadi Sodhana practice.
After this we will explore some backbend and inversion postures alone and with partners/ groups helping to support each other in the poses and using set ups that enable inversions to be savoured for a while with ease.
We will end with a Savasana practice to help integrate all of our learnings.
Relaxing, fun and informative with a blend of dedicated practice and more open workshop style learning to improve self practice or your own teaching skills.
