Content & Structure for Teaching Restorative Yoga

This Teaching Immersion into Restorative Yoga creates space for exploration and study. Restorative Yoga is a complementary yoga practice to the more dynamic and invigorating yoga styles that are predominant today, but also useful as a stand-alone healing practice. In this Immersion, we will explore:

  • Restorative practice
  • The Nervous System & Organs
  • Yoga Anatomy & Physiology
  • The Art of Teaching Restorative
  • Therapeutic Applications

Deborah will share her experience and the tools of the practice, exploring how to relax and rest deeply.  Each day will include Restorative Practice as well as Meditation and Self-reflection. You will be required to have your own daily practice during the course as well as journaling.

Who’s it for?

This course is a welcome study immersion for yoga teachers and teachers in training to refresh, renew and to deepen their practice and study.

It’s also open to dedicated yoga students (minimum of 2 years consistent practice) wanting to deepen their understanding and practice of yoga, and health professionals (e.g. Osteopaths, Psychomotor Therapists) keen to broaden their knowledge and skills (please note, this wouldn’t certify you as a Restorative Yoga Teacher).

Additional Hours

  • 5 hours reading
  • 5 hour assignment
  • 10 hour home practice, reflection and journaling

Accreditation

On completion of the course and assignment, graduate Yoga Teachers will receive a Whitespace 50hr Restorative Teaching Certificate. Non-Teachers can receive a Certificate of Attendance upon request. Training hours can be used for CPD points e.g. Yoga Alliance, British Wheel, General Osteopathic Council. Please check with your Professional Body for details.
