Twists are often thought to be at the level of the spine, what is wonderful about spinal rotations is what those poses stimulate the movement of Cerebral-Spinal Fluid (CFS). This fluid has it’s own organic movement that is independent from other rhythmic pulses such as breathing and heart beat.

The vitality that is attained from stimulating CFS promotes a healing response, the same kind that is experienced in deep states of savasana, yoga nidra & meditation.

This workshop introduces the levels of rotational patterns that are possible starting with how rotation occurs at the level of the spine, pelvis and shoulders. By optimising these rotational patterns, the chances of stimulating CSF and increase our mental flexibility increases.

This workshop also focuses on the element of Wood in East Asian Medicine and it’s connection to the growth spurts of spring and the flexibility of the mind. Attendees will experience how the anatomy of rotations links with the gall bladder and liver meridian.

Jambo frequently travels teaching workshops based on Forrest Yoga, Functional Anatomy and Native practises of the Medicine People. He is also an experienced bodyworker and bodywork teacher based on his multi-disciplinary practise of structural alignment, muscles testing and classical East Asian medicine.

Although these workshops sound heavily based on poses, he believes that the foundation for physical and emotional growth walk side by side. The yoga mat is a safe arena to explore the areas we are working towards as well as the places we are afraid to meet. This safe space is deliberately generated so that we can walk with full integration. All of our gifts and the shadows that we need to snuggle up to.
