The Roots of Therapeutic Yoga is a 5 day yoga programme for teachers and yogis (anyone who has done some yoga) that choose to explore the deeper components of human potential through therapeutic movement. The programme runs from Monday 7th -11th September 2020 10am to 6pm.
Jambo Dragon Yoga is a unique from that is derived from 3 pillars:
Biomechanics – the origin of movement and developmental physiology
Forrest Yoga – an integration of intrinsic, extrinsic & emotional intelligence
East Asian Medicine – energy, what we call in and how we conduct outwards
Each assessment offers insight into muscle imbalances, psycho-emotional relationships and stories of esoteric wisdom relating to the focused areas of discussion.
This program is developed in modules that focuses on the therapeutics of yoga & the well-being of the practitioners. Each module deliberately focuses on a bio-mechanical journey as a way to develop experiential learning of anatomy and concepts of physiology.
Each day begins with meditation, changing & a ‘follow-the-yogi’ style of practice. This is intentional so that yogis have the opportunity to feel into the instructions.
Afternoons are spent on diagnostic skills working from the core and moving into the extremities. We will take our time to embrace the necessary understandings to work with an individual from core to ankles, wrists and cranium.
Be the end of each module you will successfully be able to guide an individual through a therapeutic journey of leading a yoga practice, balancing weak and strong movement patterns & deliver acupressure for pain relief and common ailments.
Each training ends with a variation of savasana which includes acupressure routines and cranial holds.
