Open to all, these two interconnecting workshops are practical, enjoyable explorations of yoga and injury – both peoples’ sports injuries and the common yoga injuries. We’ll look at how yoga can help with prevention and recovery, and how we can modify our practice and/or teaching to avoid injury.

Saturday March 26th: Lower body injuries – ankles, knees + hips (with 7 days access to recordings)
Ouch! Whether it’s plantar fasciitis and ITB friction syndrome from running or that dull hip ache from your yoga practice, we’ll explore common lower body injuries using theory (anatomy, discussion, Q+A) plus practice. You’ll learn what these are and what you can do about them in your own practice; and, if you teach, how to modify your teaching to help and not injure further. Fun, practical, useful and empowering, this workshop will help you to understand how and why bodies go wrong – and how intelligently applied yoga really helps..
Sunday March 27th: Upper body injuries –shoulders, elbows, wrists + neck (with 7 days access to recordings)
Rotator cuff damage, tennis elbow, wrist pain, frozen shoulder –these can be yoga injuries as much as sport injuries! This workshop will consider joint mechanics and applied anatomy plus practice to help you understand what these conditions are and what you can do about them in your own practice. Teachers will learn how to modify your teaching to avoid upper body injury, and all will learn how to use yoga to contribute to upper body wellbeing.
