‘Pain is an unpleasant sensory or emotional experience.’ Yet it is a normal functional response for survival. It helps when pain signals presents itself as protection or healing, whilst not great should the pain persist or revisit time and again. One may use pharmacology, exercise programs, yoga asana, acupuncture etc. to manage pain. Question is could it be something else deeper beyond symptom?
In this workshop, we will look at potential aucitya (habituation), raga (attachment), dvesha (aversion), identification with reference to Self. There will be practices which support relaxation (physical, emotional and mental), followed by a carefully designed Yoga Nidra with the intention to unstuck from the conditioning of pain.
