Overview

I trained in Mindfulness with Mindful Academy Solterreno. I believe in the power of compassionate communication,  of actively listening to others and ourselves.

I embrace gratitude practice in my daily life and I have found this to be very helpful. I find pleasure in the small things from cups of tea to walking barefoot on fresh green grass. I have trained in and love delivering mindfulness sessions in nature however, I have also created safe and meaningful experiences online via zoom. 

I have suffered bereavement and used mindfulness as a tool and would like to support others on their bereavement journeys as well. 

Wherever you are on your mindfulness journey I am here to support you.

    Nicky is a highly experienced, wise and dedicated facilitator, who is sensitive to the needs of individuals and groups and who always responds with compassion and respect for others. Nicky truly puts herself in others shoes. Nicky creates a really safe space and leads by example, showing 100% commitment to others and her endeavours. I completed a 10 week 'Introduction to Mindfulness' course that Nicky facilitated in 2023, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I found the exercises calming and healing. I enjoyed learning about and practising mindfulness activities in group settings and individually. The balance of activities was really well thought through. I felt motivated, encouraged, treated with compassion and respect and reminded about the importance of self-care and being kind to ourselves. The course was really memorable and healing for the soul. I would encourage others to see for yourself what an amazing facilitator and leader Nicky truly is.

    I recently attended a week- long retreat at Nab Cottage in Rydal. Each day, Nicky led a Mindfulness session including a body scan, guided meditations and various small group fun exercises designed to make us think and focus on the here and now. Nicky has a very gentle way of leading these sessions. I am grateful for her teachings and recommend her for her approach to this. I am now trying to incorporate more mindfulness into my daily life as a result.

    Nicola teached mindfulness classes at the one week retreat I attended. I loved her clear, warm and supporting guidance and voice in explaining mindfulness and bodyscans. I really appreciated her playfull but powerful exercises, carefully led in a secured atmosphere. Keep up the good work!

    I was blessed to attend a retreat last week, where Nicky led several mindfulness and yoga sessions. She leads in a spacious way, acknowledging and validated our contributions, which helped foster a sense of being and safety. The sessions were thought provoking and creative. They helped explore issues, such as dealing with stress in really helpful ways. I would highly recommend her.
