In a unique opportunity, we bring together two peers from the complementary industries of yoga and health science in an event designed specifically for Yoga Teachers. We’ve blended their expertise to create ‘Anatomy in Practice for Yoga Teachers’, a 10 hour-CPD workshop for Yoga Teachers only.

Ace Pittapan is a Senior Yoga Teacher and Yoga Trainer accredited by Yoga Alliance Professional UK. He has been a certified Master of Practice in Vinyasa Yoga for ten years and completed his Yoga Teacher Training Foundation in 2010. He has combined his 5,000 hours of yoga teaching with his pilates and physiotherapy knowledge to create a style of movement for those interested in using functional movement to maintain healthy alignment and for those who want to gain strength and flexibility.

Dr Trevor George has an 8 year university teaching background in health sciences and 15 years’ experience of clinical research. He has been a Lecturer in the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine at King’s College London and a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences at Northumbria University, where he specialised in Nutrition & Dietetics and Human Nutrition & Food Science respectively. He is a Registered Nutritionist and nutrition scientist. His research focuses on the effect of dietary components on the systems of the body.

In this workshop, you will learn basic anatomy and relevant anatomy terminology in the context of yoga practice and teaching yoga.  You will use this knowledge to understand neutral alignments and how to recognise the misalignments of the students in your classes. This will allow you to correct their alignment as well as supporting your students to increase their strength and flexibility.
