This year’s Mindful Yoga Retreats will take place again at Gradbach Mill, Quarnford, located just outside Buxton the famous Spa Town, on the borders of Derbyshire and Staffordshire, where we had 2 wonderful Yoga Retreats in June and September 2019.
We have an exclusive package organised in this refurbished former silk spinning mill, which is now a 13 en-suite bedroom, luxury 4 star, stunning accommodation, full of history, set among some of the Peak Districts most beautiful scenery, in a wooded valley, situated along-side the bank of the River Dane with walks to the Roaches and Luds Church right on the doorstep.
Gradbach Mill set in a tiny hamlet is just 40 minutes’ drive from Manchester Airport.
The weekend will be filled with a variety of yoga to suit all levels and tastes including Mindful Yin Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow, Restorative/Gentle Yin Gong Bath Sound Healing Therapy Session, Yoga Nidra Meditation, Pranayama as well as mindful walks to Lud’s Church and further exploring of the local area,
This is an exclusive weekend with places limited to a maximum of 26 guests. All rooms are equipped with luxury bathrooms, double, twin or king-size beds and Wi-Fi.
Arriving on the Friday late afternoon, departing on Sunday afternoon, with option to stay additional nights making the most of the opportunity to explore the area further (rooms are available for extra nights at an additional cost) after a morning yoga session, lunch and an afternoon mindful walk, perhaps visit Chatsworth House or Buxton Spa Town.

Includes all vegetarian meals, juices and special dietary requirements.
A deposit of £125 pp is required. The rest can be paid in instalments to be settled 60 days prior to start date of the retreat.

A bit more about the weekend, location and accommodation
This is the perfect venue and location to explore a variety of styles of yoga including Mindful Yin Yoga, Yoga Restorative Yoga, Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Pranayama and Yoga Nidra Meditation with a Restorative/Gentle Yin Healing Sound Bath Emersion. We will also explore the local countryside on foot although bikes can also be hired.
A bit about the walk to Lud's church
A NATURAL WONDER SET IN THE HILLSIDE ABOVE GRADBACH AND BELIEVED TO BE THE INSPIRATION FOR THE MEDIEVAL POEM, SIR GAWAIN AND THE GREEN KNIGHT
Legend has it that Lud’s Church, a natural stone cleft sliced into the hillside above Gradbach, was the inspiration for Sir Gawain and the Green Knight – a medieval tale of chivalry, bravery and honouasm is 100 metres long and 15 metres deep.
Thought to have been formed by an ancient landslide, which saw a section of rock literally slip away from the hill.
