I'm Clare Bassett, I'm an advanced yoga teacher training specialist with almost a decade of experience training yoga teachers.
I trained as a yoga teacher with the YTTC (Yoga training and therapy centre) Dublin in 2009 under Roy Griffin, Marie Quail, Micheal McCann and Suzy Copper with the intention of deepening my practice.
Yoga has always been a place of connection and empowerment for me. When I started teaching it I couldn't stop. I saw the effect it had on other people.
I did the YTTC level 2 teacher training (2011),and a wonderful YTTC meditation teacher training with Michael McCann.
In 2013 I started to work with Roy Griffin in the Crown Centre on both the yoga and meditation teacher training courses and over the next 5 years taught on over 15 yoga teacher training course as well as running yoga workshops and teaching on the meditation teacher training programs. I now train teachers on both the Yago yoga Dublin and Limerick 200 hour courses and Barefoot Yoga's 200 and 300 hour YTT courses.
The best teachers are also students.
Over the years I have qualified as a pregnancy yoga teacher with Trish Malone and the YTI (Yoga therapy Ireland), a kids yoga teacher training with Rainbow kids in 2014 a fertility yoga teacher training with Tara Devitt, founder of Fertility Yoga Ireland in 2014.
Yoga is a powerful tool for well being but yoga teachers can also feel isolated stressed and overwhelmed.
The 200 hour YTT is an amazing journey, probably the best course I ever did, but we need to keep filling our cup.

As well as teaching the 200 hour foundation course, I have developed unique and empowering courses for yoga teachers. I run 40+ hour courses in pregnancy yoga teacher training, post natal and mum and baby yoga, meditation teacher training for healers and specialized courses for class room teachers.
I live in County Galway, Ireland with my son, husband and other animals. I haven't always been here. Originally from Dublin Ireland, I have a degree in English and Philosophy, higher diploma in education and a masters in natural world heritage.
I've travelled a lot, volunteering and teaching English but met my German husband on the street where I lived in Dublin while I was training to be a yoga teacher!
My yoga journey began in Spain in 2002 when I started with yoga and Reiki. It helped me heal a broken heart and change my life in so many ways. I will always be grateful.
My favourite things to do when I'm not doing or teaching yoga are gardening, watching movies with my son and going on long walks with the dogs.
