Overview

Having always enjoyed regular exercise at the gym and taking exercise classes, I decided, some years ago, to accept an invitation to a Tuscan yoga retreat from a friend.  I had experimented with yoga classes previously but was not a regular Practitioner. Working for a large global corporate I was feeling the workplace stresses that many of us are familiar with, and suffering frequent migraines -  so ready for some holistic nurturing of the body and mind!

Following a wonderful week of full immersion into daily yoga practise; working on simple foundation postures, breathing techniques and meditation, I was determined to ensure to keep the practise going at home. I did not want to lose the feeling of being more in control, exploring my physical potential and just feeling better…

Soon, my passion for Hatha yoga was too strong to keep to myself – so I embarked on a Yoga Alliance accredited Teacher Training course with Sam Rao, my own inspirational trainer and mentor and began the next stage of my yoga journey – to share the benefits of yoga into the community.

Sam taught me to teach with clarity and passion. To allow students to accept what they can do today, to be patient and to encourage postures but to treat our bodies with love and kindness as we learn to understand the structure and mechanisms of the anatomy and patterns of our thinking.

I am now qualified, fully insured and enjoy teaching small groups, classes, dedicated one to one sessions and corporate workplace yoga classes. My aim is to share the benefits that yoga can bring to your life.

Regular yoga practise inspired me in so many ways; not just eliminating migraines but also helping me create a better work life balance, to feel more alive, energised, less stressed and to maintain physical strength and fitness. I love the local communities that have organically grown from my classes too as students support each other 'off the mat' and friendships have flourished. Now it’s your turn…………..come an join us on the mat!
