My philosophy is simple, I teach what I enjoy and I enjoy what I teach. Yoga can be physically and mentally challenging, it can be relaxing and calming, it can be exactly what you need at that particular time.
I have taught everyone from teenagers to OAPs, 1-2-1s to groups of 20, beleaguered nurses to golfers with back problems and enjoyed tailoring classes to suit. Yoga is by it's very nature client-led and much of my current work is 1-2-1, this individual approach has massive benefits across the board: from those training for sporting events such as marathons to people recovering from illness and injuries and dealing with stress.
I completed my teacher training in 2010 with Brian Cooper in South End but I had been teaching for sometime before that having been mentored by a very experienced teacher who is now running his own accredited training courses. I have completed trainings in Thai Yoga Massage and Restorative Yoga since then and most recently a two-year course in 1-2-1 teaching, body psychology and how to facilitate the body to bring itself back into balance, with Kate Ellis in Brighton. I firmly believe you should never stop learning!
