Overview

My name is Michelle.   I started my training in 2019 and graduated in November 2020.  I come from a martial and self-defence (SPEAR™) background originally.  I have loved yoga all my life and revisited it again three years ago.  I was shocked at how ‘commercial’ some aspects of yoga had become and witnessed some class members either not able to keep up, or just end up not participating due to extreme moves or not being able to hear what the teacher was saying.   I felt that yoga should be accessible to all regardless of self-ability, it should help empower you.

In 2019 after lots of investigation and advice from many local yogi’s I signed to train with Sally Parkes.  Sally has offered me a sound grounding in Hatha yoga, even with the ‘blips’ of the Lockdown in 2020.  Sally adapted her classes to ensure that her students could continue and helped us to adapt to changes also.  I continue to communicate with Sally and my fellow graduated students for advice and guidance should I need such.  I was fortunate to have the commitment of three students who allowed me to practice my teaching on them over the last 18 months.  This I has been an invaluable teaching skill for me; I cannot thank them enough.

 I am in Swindon and currently offer evenings and a Saturday morning class.  These are small an intimate classes (8 max).  By doing so I can tailor the needs of a few individuals.     I currently run a Seniors Group on Monday, beginners and those who just want to take it slow on a Wednesday and I then pick up the pace on Saturday mornings.  Please feel free to call if you have any queries.
