Overview

I fell in love with yoga in my late twenties. I practised hot yoga with friends and then discovered the strength and flexibility that I was gaining from vinyasa yoga - both physically and mentally. I could see the balance it was bringing me to counteract my busy desk job and the stresses taking toll on my body and mind.

I have a dance background and enjoy the flow and creativity of vinyasa yoga. I have a particular interest in the chakras to bring balance to the body and the healing that can be gained through yin.

I trained with Sally Parkes in 2017 who has given me a wonderful knowledge of how to work safely with the body and I want to be able to inspire others in the same way that she and my fellow trainees inspired me. I have studied Chakra Yoga with Katrina Repka and Yin Yoga with Norman Blair. More recently I completed my Yin to Yang healing yoga studies with Victoria Skye.

I co-founded Deutsche Bank's Corporate Yoga programme with Scott Robinson in 2019. Introducing desk workers to the healing properties on yoga is just wonderful.

I currently teach twice a week on Zoom and once a week in person for Deutsche Bank, whilst fundraising for the bank's charity programme. I am running two weekend yoga retreats in Spain in 2022. And have been known to also lead 'human and dog yoga' classes. So much fun!

We are all still learning and I love being able to share what I have learnt so far.

I recently attended a retreat hosted by Alex and it was amazing. Beautiful teaching style, understanding the needs of her students. Alex has a sense of calm that you can’t help but be encapsulated by. Loved it and would go again everytime. Thank you x

I've been practicing yoga online and in person with Alex for a couple of years now and I would rate her highly. She has a lovely gentle approach to her practice, meaning you naturally relax in her presence. She's very passionate about yoga and enjoys sharing and teaching new areas and philosophy and her dance background mean she creates flows and sequences which support the whole body. I benefit both physically and mentally from practicing yoga with Alex and look forward to seeing where she takes her teaching.

Alex hosted a yoga retreat at our rural Cortijo in Andalucia. Not only was she a fantastic partner helping to shape the whole weekend for the guests so was an AMAZING retreat leader. She created a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in her classes which covered a range of practice styles, also during the group meals and downtime in between. We can't wait for the second retreat in September that we have in the pipeline and then hopefully many more to come!
