ABC Level 0 – Fascia Fundamentals & Biotensegrity Basics

Course Dates: Sunday 14 July 9:45am-5pm, Saturday 14 September 9:00am - 6pm & Sunday 15 September 9:45-5pm

Venue: Lululemon Showroom, Manchester

Who is this course for? - Yoga, Pilates and Movement Teachers of all disciplines and levels.

Joanne and Kate are delighted to be able to invite you to this 3 day course pilot course taking place in Manchester.

What is the course about?

ABC is the Anatomy Basic Course with a difference: From Anatomy to Animated Architecture, from Biomechanics to Biotensegrity, from Classical to Connected.

We discover that the fascia forms us in the “joined-up-writing” of our biology-in-motion and our biography-in-time.

Presented in clear interactive lectures, practical activities, movement sequences and individual and partnership exercises this Level 0 modular course answers; “’what is fascia?’ and ‘what is biotensegrity?’ and how does it help me (and my clients) move better?”

What will you learn?

  • We cover the principles of Fascia Fundamentals and Biotensegrity Basics
  • We actively put these principles into practice to make a difference to our clients and classes
  • We learn how the Fascial Matrix works "in the round" in real living and breathing bodies
  • We reveal our innate, personal Biomotional Intelligence and how to sense and self-regulate our structure to optimise function; whatever modality we work in

About Joanne Avison.

I am passionate about the New Science of Body Architecture. It distinguishes the geometry of form and consciousness in real live animated beings “like what we are”.
After writing the book YOGA: Fascia, Anatomy & Movement, (Handspring, 2015) I have created the ABC (Anatomy Basic Course) series worldwide, to simplify the essentials of how fascia and Biotensegrity make sense of 21st century anatomy for yoga and other movement professionals. It makes sense of far more than motion.
