Welcome to Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga! This workshop is designed to introduce athletic people to this beautiful, powerful ancient practice of yoga. Our intention is to present and let you experience the fundamental foundations of Ashtanga practice – a way to a calmer mind, stronger and more supple body and a balanced every day life.
What is Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga?
Ashtanga vinyasa yoga is a moving meditation method of Hatha yoga, which involves synchronising the mind and the breath with a progressive series of postures. This process produces intense internal heat, that detoxifies muscles and organs. It is a strong, dynamic and powerful yoga practice, aiming at making every choreographed breath and movement a conscious one.
What will you learn?
You will be introduced and will practise:
The Standing sequences of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga – foundations of the yoga practice
The Ujjayi (victorious) breath – powerful diaphragmatic breathing
The body energy locks – enablers of movement from your very core
The yogic gaze technique – tools for an improved concentration
We will do our utmost to create a safe, inspiring, uplifting and fun environment.
