A three day course breaking down the skills of giving safe, mindful and effective adjustments, with particular focus on the students we see every day in our classes who struggle in common yoga asanas. The empasis of the course will be helping these students to achieve Sthira/Sukham (steadiness and ease) in the postures, and to support individuals within a class so that they can best understand how to adapt the poses for their own physique. We will look at the common problem areas, such as tight lower backs and hips, shortened hamstrings and restricted shoulder mobility.
The majority of thes adjustments do not require the student to be in the pose for a long time, they can be given whilst teaching a flow style class, whilst delivering cues to the rest of the class, although there will be some time for some deeper adjustments.
