Gentle morning hatha class on Saturday mornings 8:30
Join me and other dedicated yogis to bring awareness to the practice of Yoga. Whatever your intention or which path you choose my classes will help to warm up loose joints and muscles for better movement and mobility.
Once we arrive on the mat and prepare the airways, you will set your own intention or share an intention set by the teacher. There will be gentle warming movements while still seated to release any tension that you may be holding onto to. Think side bending, lateral side stretches, cat/cow warm-up, gate pose to help warm up the body gently.
The teacher will then guide you through some Sun Salutations and through a few of the foundational standing poses, triangle pose, warrior II pose, side-angle pose...all with the intention to strengthen the body's inner frame, to tone the muscles, to aid alignment and to restore the body's natural balance and harmony. Then moving into a few seated poses to cool down and prepare for savasana and total bliss!
