Read disclaimerYin with Regina
A practise that EVERYONE should do at least once a week, it is the soft, yielding opposite to our more Yang practises of Ashtanga, Vinyasa and Hatha, it works by allowing the fascial system to release so that appropriate stress can be applied to the ligaments, joints, and bones. As compressive poses are used over long periods of time, the body opens up. During rest, the body recognizes the stress that’s been applied to the tissues, and it initiates healing to produce stronger ligaments, joints, and bones. It is a floor based practise, rarely getting above DownDog and deeply engages the body’s Yin side. It should be done on a cool body and is a great precursor to a Vinyasa practise, it really compliments athletes but definitely suitable for all. Depending on the level it can be challenging or restful.
