200 HOURS TEACHER TRAINING PLUS WEEK LONG IMMERSION RETREAT IN WALES

February 2024 - December 2024 £3200

The 200 hours Yoga Teacher training is spread over 11 months and takes place at the renowned InHale Yoga Studio in the lovely village of Hale on the outskirts of Manchester. Included in the training is a 6-day intensive retreat, situated in a beautiful lakeside setting in Wales. It has lovely accommodation and fresh seasonal home grown food. We take care of everything so you can make the most of your time with us.

  • This course can be a foundation in the teaching of yoga to beginners or simply a means of deepening your own practice. We limit our numbers to 14 students so that we are able to give you the attention, guidance and encouragement you need.
  • The retreat will be your opportunity to develop a daily self practice, customised for your individual body, guided by experts with decades of experience in the field of Yoga Asana and the science of the breath. Surrounded by the sights and sounds of  nature,  away from the distractions of your everyday life  you can focus purely on how you feel when you  dedicate yourself to a daily practice, how your mental and physical health is improved.
  • We place the breath as central to everything we teach. Breath is key to reducing stress and opening the body from inside; this is why it has been an integral part of Yoga & Meditation for thousands of years.
  • Correcting faulty breathing habits is key to optimising health and regulating stress and therefore negative mental patterns. Throughout the course you will explore how to breathe more efficiently so all functions of the body are optimised. Healthy breathing is also key to developing a better relationship with your body in all yoga postures to allow you to drop into a deep sense of presence and connection.
  • When we change the way in which we breathe and change the way in which we move, we change the behaviour of our minds. Peeling back the layers of self doubt and negativity, revealing a more embodied compassionate version of ourselves helping us all to evolve more consciously as individuals and together as a greater whole.
  • We don’t just learn how to sequence postures, we learn how each and every body is unique and special, that we all have the ability to master the mind.
  • We study what the ancient yogis said and how they advised us; that we are way more powerful than our limited & conditioned thoughts.
  • An embodied and deeply somatic approach to Yoga Asana from their Hatha origins to the modern day sequencing of Vinyasa, including elements of Ashtanga + Iyengar methods.
  • Anatomy of movement, understanding and ‘feeling’ the structure of the body from inside out.
  • From gross to the subtle energetic body, learn how to shift the activity of the nervous system to experience the more subtle realms through the breath, bandhas, mudras and mantra and our relationship to the vibrational Uni-Verse.
  • We find our voice in helping others to realise this intelligence is within us all. We find ways of saying it, teaching it,  in very simple ways, that yoga is a powerful tool to transform us all.

EARLY BIRD COST £3200 when you book before 1st Dec or full price £3550 which can be paid in instalments.

Course Overview

The first 6 months of the course is all about you and your practice. Understanding empowers and liberates, whereas knowledge alone can encourage us to rely on the external for solutions. It’s all about understanding ourselves, our minds and our bodies. This can then be applied to communicating these teachings to others.

Even if you may not be considering teaching, learning how to articulate the importance of better functioning of body and breath can be a very useful skill in many health and wellness circles and more importantly in how we live more healthy and balanced lives.

You will learn:

  • In-depth Yoga Asana training from it’s Hatha origins to the sequencing of Vinyasa inspired by elements of the Ashtanga Vinyasa method.
  • How to teach anatomically informed sequences appropriate for absolute beginners, including relevant joint opening and strength building.
  • Restorative Asana practice and teaching –  from both classical old style hatha yoga as well as modern restorative forms that include flowing yin styles.
  • How to open the breath and teach others to understand breath regulation and how simple techniques on regulating and training the breath can switch the activity of the nervous system and calm the mind.
  • Cleansing Kriyas; traditional Hatha yoga methods as a preparation for the subtler aspects of practice (pranayama) but also to rejuvenate internal organs, open the body, and improve the breath.
  • Detailed classical Pranayama practice, taught by teachers who have been taught directly by Yogic Master Sri OP Tiwari, and how this leads on to meditation.
  • Yoga philosophy and psychology; in-depth guidance on Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and other classic texts including the Gita and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika and how we apply them to our everyday lives so we can live together harmoniously.
  • Anatomy and Physiology as it applies to each asana and movement patterns.
  • From the gross to the subtle energetic body – learning how to shift the activity of the nervous system so we experience the more subtle realms through the breath, bandhas, mudras, mantras and our relationship to the vibrational Uni-Verse.
  • Clear instruction on how to Teach the most basic of asana class to more advancing students.
  • What it takes to apply Yoga off the mat and teaching and living with integrity.
