Alison is an Irish-based Yoga Teacher, passionate about sharing the joys of movement, breath and stillness.
A childhood student of ballet, Alison first fell in love with yoga while at college. After graduating from the National College of Art + Design and a successful career in the Irish Film Industry as a Marketing and Communications Director,
Alison listened to a growing desire to deepen her connection to her body and breath. During her very first Teacher Training, she started teaching two classes per week. Within a year this became five classes and it grew and grew from there. Through her teaching, she strives to create a space that encourages students to connect to the intuition of their bodies. Over the years she has continued to expand her knowledge and now teaches Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Somatic Movement classes.
Alison has been creating a signature style of class with an emphasis on flowing movements and moments of stillness - becoming more intimate with our fear and fearlessness.
She has been working with the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre since 2017 teaching Yoga Nidra, Mindfulness and Chair Yoga.
Alison opened Namaste House Yoga School in 2019, this is a culmination of all her talents. This is a yoga community beyond mats, asana and teaching. It's a place for music, laughter and creativity, filled with colour and fun. Alison presents 200-hour Vinyasa Teacher Training, plus short courses in Yin, Restorative and Yoga Nidra.
Alison travels internationally leading Teacher Training and Retreats. She dedicates time to learning and increasing her skill set every year.
India is her second home and she is an expert guide for those navigating a first time visit to this magical country.
