This training will cover all aspects of Himalayan Hatha Yoga, its background, philosophy and practice as outlined above in the Intensive in India.
Some areas we will cover include; Foundation of Himalayan Hatha Yoga, Philosophy of Himalayan Hatha Yoga, benefits, aims, practice of HHY including opening and closing of the practice, breakdown of the basic Himalayan Hatha yoga postures, Sun Salutes 1, 2 , 3 and Preparatory sun salute postures, Restorative practice and basic breathing techniques, Bhagavad-Gita, understanding alignment, basic meditation and breath awareness, A.M (morning) yoga practice and P.M (evening) yoga practice, understanding and applying the counterforce
There will be eight weekend modules, one per month from February to September. These weekend modules make up most of the required hours and you will also be required to complete a further 26 hours under Yogi Ashokananda’s supervision and presence which will consist of additional workshops and classes; these are at an additional cost. If you have attended any workshops, retreats or courses with Yogi Ashokananda within 12 months prior to starting these can count towards your total hours so please do inform us. You will also be required to observe classes (roughly equating to 10 hours) which are included in the course fee.
Yogi Ashokananda is an expert and pioneer as a practising master of yoga and meditation and a speaker on humanity and spiritual philosophy. Raised in India, he has been practising yoga since early childhood when his Grandfather was his first teacher. He is also a Reiki Master. Over many years Yogi Ashokananda has been fortunate to develop his teaching, experience and education of yoga under some of the great, remote, Indian masters and siddhas. He has taught the teachings of the Bihar School of Yoga, the Sivananda Ashram, hatha yoga and meditation at the Shri Ved Niketan Ashram, Rishikesh and the Yogamaya Ashram in Vrindavan. Now he teaches a number of his own profound disciplines and insights which have their roots in ancient, sacred Indian tradition.

9:00 am - 7:00pm / Saturday and 9:00am - 5:00pm on Sunday
