Overview

I used to have a very busy corporate life, but now I’m an even busier mum of three, so I fully understand how life can be stressful!

Yoga has helped me personally on so many levels and is now a cornerstone of my life.

I wanted to share the benefits of this ancient science with other women in a relevant way, so I created YogaMums in 2014.  Over the past six years with YogaMums I've taught hundreds of pre and post natal women plus women up to 70yrs with classes that specialise in postural alignment and pelvic health.  YogaMums now sits under my umbrella business 'Linda Stephens Wellbeing' to accommodate my 'wisdom years' offerings for peri to post menopausal women.

My focus is on educating women about the natural alignment and function of the pelvis and how to stand and move well. I utilise yoga's therapeutic tools to optimise pelvic floor integrity in birth, recover core functionality and strength post birth and then negotiate the natural ageing and menopause process as holistically and positively as possible.

Linda's new WomensWellbeing.me site is a place where peri menopausal women can practice tailored yoga for them, connect, collaborate and support one another around midlife health issues.
Linda’s specialty is in helping women achieve good pelvic floor function through guided meditations, global strengthening, pelvic tension release practices, ‘ Hypopressives’  and her own style of holistic healing yoga.

  • Pelvic floor dysfunction remains taboo and yet 1:3 women experience pelvic organ prolapse; this can happen at any age, it is not just an "old ladies” condition, but can have life changing implications when ‘red flags’ are not recognised.
  • 1:2 women over 25 suffer incontinence yet will suffer in silence (often crippled with shame and anxiety with implications at home and at work) - in 2020 the sale of adult incontinence  pads out-sold the sale of babies’ nappies for the first time
  • Shame, anxiety and ignorance mean that millions of women are not properly guided with conservative physical therapy exercises that can change lives
  • Peri-Menopausal symptoms continue to be misdiagnosed.  For example, anti depressants are often inappropriately prescribed instead of HRT.
  • Strategies to improve posture & pelvic floor function are easy to learn, but do need to be practiced. Girls need to know this too!
