Overview

Sarah has been practising yoga since 2001 and teaching since 2006. She qualified to teach initially in 2006 after a 500 hour yoga teacher training course, and has since completed a further teaching course in yin yoga and mindfulness meditation with Sarah Powers at the Kripalu Yoga Institute in America. In addition to this, Sarah is also a level 2 qualified Birthlight Pre-and Post-Natal Yoga teacher. Over the last few years she has also become more drawn to Yoga Therapy and has completed Yoga Campus trainings in Yoga for Anxiety and Depression; Yoga Nidra; and Yoga for Stress, Burnout, CFS & ME. In 2020 she completed a further 70 hours training in Yoga & Somatics for Healing and Recovery from Burnout, Illness, Stress & Anxiety. She continues to be amazed by how much yoga has to offer to support our different needs and assist us through different stages of life.

She teaches Vinyasa Yoga, Complete Beginners' Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga, Yin Yoga and Restorative Yoga mainly in East London & The City, as well as in a number of private gyms.

She is also available to teach private one-to-one and small group classes and corporate yoga classes in your home or place of work.

 Sarah's main aim is to make yoga accessible and enjoyable for everyone who attends her classes, and for them to practice in a safe way, whilst connecting deeply to their body and breath and gently challenging themselves to explore new things in their yoga practice.

Sarah truly believes that everyone can benefit from yoga, whatever their background, age or current physical condition, and her approach to teaching is one of warmth, encouragement and care and is always tailored to an individual’s needs.

Having lived in London and worked in a busy office job in the publishing industry for many years before teaching, Sarah is very aware of the stresses and challenges of big city living, and knows how a regular yoga practice can be enormously helpful in dealing with these and can enable people to find more balance, space and calm in their bodies, minds and lives.
