Post-natal yoga class will help you get stronger, strengthening the areas that may have weakened during your pregnancy, including your pelvic floor muscles. Post-natal yoga will help you release the tension in your shoulders and other areas of your body that feel tight, burdened and stressed. It will help you relax and connect both to your baby and to your body. Recognising physical and mental challenges post-pregnancy is extremely important in these classes – both for the student and the teacher. That’s why we will work hard to foster a community that will support and address the physical and emotional challenges that come with this early stage of parenthood. Classes are designed to include asana (posture work), pranayama (breath awareness), bhava (feeling), mudras (hand gestures), chanting, meditation and relaxation. Please note that this is both online and onsite class (outdoor, subject to weather conditions and limitations in numbers due to social distancing measures) New mums are welcome to bring their babies (4 weeks to crawling)! If you’re breastfeeding your baby, don’t worry you can still be part of the class and a special ‘women’s circle’ of likeminded individuals.
