ONLINE LIVE Yoga is a practice of action and reflection. Yin Yoga places appropriate stress on the tissues, whilst restorative avoids stress and sensation. Learn to stay in a pose for a period of time (typically for 5 minutes or more), using props (blankets, chair, bolster, belt, yoga blocks or alternative home-made props). Each class will typically involve only five or six poses, supported by props, pranayama (breath techniques) and meditation. Allow yourself to become more present and aware of your surroundings and your body - completely relax and restore. Yin and restorative poses include twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends.
