  • WHO IS THE COURSE FOR?

    In addition to Yoga teachers and trainee Teachers, this course is designed for anyone who has a strong interest in working with postpartum women.

    If you have experience working within a women’s wellbeing background, you are very welcome to apply to this course. (Previous participants have included pilates teachers, midwives, hypnobirthing instructors, PT’s).

    This course is also suitable and wonderful for personal wellbeing if you yourself are pregnant or postnatal even if you have no prior background in any of the topics.

     

     

    QUALIFICATION

    This is accredited with Yoga Alliance Professionals as a Vocational Course.

    This course qualifies you as a Postnatal Yoga Teacher.It enables you to gain specialist insurance to teach group and 1-2-1 and group postnatal and mum’s & baby yoga classes and brand yourself as a Postnatal Yoga Teacher.

    If you are already a registered Yoga Teacher this course can be considered as your ‘CPD’ continued professional development.

    If you are coming from an alternative background, you can still gain insurance to teach through www.wellbeinginsurance.co.uk and it’s worth checking with them.

Course Outcomes

By the end of the course you will:


 

  • Be able to confidently practice and teach safe and effective Postpartum yoga and mums & baby yoga to groups & 1-2-1’s that offer a variety of techniques and tools that support women from birth onwards.

 

  • Offer the Real Flow Yoga MamaYogi Birth to Fitness 9 Month Program, so that you have a clear and structured path of sequencing and teachings that heal, rebuild and revitalise mother for full postnatal recovery and wellbeing

 

  • Understand postpartum in depth so that you intuitively know why a practice/pose may or may not be appropriate

 

  • Gain technical understanding of the pelvic anatomy and postural adaptations and bring your insights into your postnatal classes

 

  • Understanding and apply yogic concepts of subtle energy body so that you can offer an holistic and integrated yoga practice

 

  • Offer a class that build a warm, welcoming community. You’ll create an atmosphere in class that invites sharing and connection to baby, Self and others.

 

  • Understand, appreciate and develop the arts of teaching yoga, including the art of holding space, art of verbal cueing, art of story telling.

 

  • Be equipped with the business know-how, skills and motivation to set up as a professional Postnatal Yoga Specialist Teacher
