Yoga Teacher Training Online Course
Start Date

End Date
07/07/2024

Spread across 7 months, the fully online yoga teacher training is completely accessible fitting alongside work or family commitments, or for anyone who would find coming into the studio a challenge. The course follows the same syllabus as the in person yoga teacher training, with sessions delivered during the week within school hours and outside of school holidays. There will also be an optional in-person weekend in Sussex to refine your teaching skills.

Scholarship options are available, supporting people who work in the voluntary and community sector as well as those who are under resourced and under represented in the yoga industry.

The online yoga teacher training includes:

  • Online training days delivered via Zoom

  • Online learning platform with pre-recorded lectures, reading and practical tasks

  • Live online weekly yoga classes

  • Mentoring sessions and continuous support, 1:1 and as a group

  • Optional mentoring once the course is completed

The online yoga teacher training is designed to be flexible and accessible, making it easier for people from all walks of life to become a yoga teacher! With an emphasis on philosophy, subtle body, roots and history of yoga as well as the physical aspects of the practice, you will delve into yoga and discover the aspects that really resonate with you. From here you will be able to share yoga honestly and with passion. The online aspect allows you to replay sessions and recap the learning; this is hugely beneficial for people who like to take their time to learn, digest and reflect.

A sense of community is important to me and this is fostered throughout the yoga teacher training. The down to earth approach encourages you to find your own voice as a yoga teacher, whilst connecting with like minded people who will be your support as you move into teaching.

With an emphasis on traditional Hatha and Vinyasa Flow styles of yoga, the course also introduces you to Ashtanga, Yin and Restorative, allowing you to explore and find a way of teaching that’s right for you and your students. Being able to adapt to the needs of your students is important, and you will learn how to teach people with varying conditions including pregnancy. Being aware of inclusivity and trauma sensitivity is a key part of teaching yoga which is reflected in this course.

You will start to teach each other from the get go, as the best way to learn is to simply dive in and do it! Whilst teaching practice will take place online you are also encouraged to teach friends and family in person, as well as continuing your own yoga practice that will always guide your teaching. This practice is often focused around asana but you will learn the depth of yoga, developing understanding of pranayama, meditation, mantra, mudra and yogic philosophy as well.
